Founded in 2016, Peripass is a logistics SaaS scale-up with its headquarters in Ghent. Our Yard Management Software enables industrial and logistics companies to smoothly manage the complete flow of trailers rolling on and off their sites, as well as all trailer movements on-site. Building on an already strong revenue basis, our sales and overall company growth are rapidly accelerating. In 2023, we have recently grown to about 50 people and we are planning to grow to over 75 people in 2024. As our Engineering Director, you'll lead the Engineering team to new heights. You're the person with the highest technical accountability in the company. You develop an engineering vision and strategy for your team for which you are responsible. As a real team leader, you coach the developers and let them be more successful in their daily work. Through progress-oriented leadership, clear communication, and generating innovative solutions and processes, you push the quality of our product to the next level.

Your role as our Engineering Director:

• People Management: You develop a work environment that encourages individual fulfillment by strongly contributing to people’s career development. You Implement and cultivate a process-driven approach within the engineering team, fostering efficiency and consistency in development workflows.
• Quality of the product: You oversee the technical architecture, design, and implementation processes to align with organizational goals. You are a hands-on director who monitors the quality of our product by exploring and analyzing new opportunities supported by your team.
• Technology and Architecture: You make strategic decisions regarding technology adoption and architectural choices, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals. You are responsible for designing and maintaining a resilient infrastructure, leveraging the latest technologies to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Leadership: as part of the Leadership team, you join our leadership meetings, you create a vision and strategy for your department and you support decision-making by providing data analyses. You play an active role in the periodic financial planning (budget), forecasting cycles and funding rounds.

You invest in good relationships with the different stakeholders in the company to ensure buy-in and alignment on the above responsibilities.

• You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
  
• You have 2+ years experience in leading and managing tech teams (5p+)
• You have 3+ years experience in .NET and Cloud (preferably Azure)
• You have proven experience in a senior operational role, preferably within SaaS and have demonstrated success as a lead of an Engineering team.
• You are a strong leader with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• You are passionate, curious, and enthusiastic by nature.
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing external partners effectively
• You have a strong mastery of English and Dutch (spoken and written).
