Founded in 2016, Peripass is a logistics SaaS scale-up with its headquarters in Ghent. Our Yard Management Software enables industrial and logistics companies to smoothly manage the complete flow of trailers rolling on and off their sites, as well as all trailer movements on-site. Building on an already strong revenue basis, our sales and overall company growth are rapidly accelerating. In 2023, we have recently grown to about 50 people and we are planning to grow to over 75 people in 2024. Some other BIG NEWS 🎉, in January 2024 we secured €7.5 million to accelerate our global expansion. The investment will help us to accomplish our mission to digitize and automate logistics. As part of our growth, we are looking for an experienced accountant. 

  • Overall, you are entirely responsible for running invoicing, accounting, and administrative processes and operations.
  • You own the purchase & sales invoicing cycle. You process the purchase invoices on a weekly basis in our systems and you monitor the timely leadership approval. You perform the sales invoicing cycle for subscriptions and one-time orders.
  • You are part of the closing process: you execute the necessary month-end tasks, quarter-end tasks and year-end tasks.
  • You manage the books and ensure they are a true reflection of reality by recording all accounting entries accurately, according to good governance principles and agreed procedures. You seek internal or external assistance if you require advice.
  • The above activities are your contribution to accurate and timely reporting for the leadership team and the board. You will also support the head of business operations in the reporting cycle by assisting in the report preparation, performing budget/actuals analysis, and researching specific questions.
  • For overdue sales invoices, you manage the biweekly dunning process. You also follow up on special customer cases (e.g. incasso, bankruptcy, etc.)
  • You are a strong contributor to controlling & efficiency improvements of the invoicing, accounting and administrative processes based on your personal learnings, best practices and external audit recommendations.
  • You run our entire administration. You understand the ins and outs, you ensure that all mandatory activities are timely handled, and that all official information is correctly stored. You are the go-to person for all types of administrative questions.
  • You communicate adequately with all team members in the organisation, with external parties and government agencies.

Job requirements

Come on, blow us away with your credentials. 💥 You will, if you:

  • Speak and write Dutch and English on a highly professional level
  • Have minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in an accountancy firm or in a similar role and you have a Bachelor degree in Accountancy. 
  • Have experience with analytical bookkeeping and understand the dynamics of fast close and if you have a solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of Belgian tax application. Knowledge of international accounting and intercompany finance is a plus! 
  • Are an independent worker: you take initiative and manage the bookkeeping A-Z autonomously.
  • Are an expert in Microsoft Excel, coupled with a strong understanding of financial software and data analysis tools, showcasing tech-savviness.
  • Thrive in a challenging and flexible environment with a variety of tasks on your plate.
  • Are a well-organized person with great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • You see the importance of Information Security & Cyber Security and you act accordingly. Within Peripass we see these aspects as fundamental to our business, since our software automates critical parts of our clients' logistics processes.
