Founded in 2016, Peripass is a logistics SaaS scale-up. Our Yard Management Software enables industrial and logistics companies (think of companies like Bridgestone, Alpro, and Saint-Gobain) to smoothly manage the complete flow of trailers rolling on and off their sites, as well as all trailer movements on-site.

With a solid revenue foundation already in place, our sales and overall company growth are skyrocketing. In 2023, we've doubled our team, and our growth ambitions for the upcoming years are at least as high. We've also secured €7.5 million to boost our global expansion. As part of our growth, we are looking for an experienced accountant. 

• Accounting and Compliance:
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including both direct and indirect taxes and VAT declarations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing invoices on a daily basis and reconcile bank statements with our books.
  • Propose and prepare our weekly outgoing payment runs.
• Financial Close:
  • Participate in the closing process by executing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tasks to ensure our accounts accurately reflect our financial position. This includes recording all accounting entries according to good governance principles and agreed procedures.
  • Seek internal or external assistance when needed for advice.
• Reporting:
  • Contribute to accurate and timely reporting for the leadership team and the board.
  • Support the Head of Business Operations in the reporting cycle by assisting with report preparation, performing budget/actuals analysis, and researching specific financial questions.
• Accounts Receivable:
  • Follow up on incoming payments and manage the dunning process to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
• Compliance and Audits:
  • Manage and implement effective strategies for local and international compliance and other financial audits, including yearly financial audits and tax (including VAT) audits.
• Subsidiary Coordination:
  • Collaborate with our foreign external accountants to ensure consistent and timely reporting for our subsidiaries.
• Adaptability and Change Management:
  • Embrace change as part of our growing company. You will be involved in projects related to the organization of our accounting activities to better support the future needs of the business.

• Speak and write Dutch and English on a highly professional level. 
• Have minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in an accountancy firm or in a similar role and you have a Bachelor degree in Accountancy. 
• Have experience with analytical bookkeeping and understand the dynamics of fast close and if you have a solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Have up-to-date knowledge of Belgian tax application (BE GAAP). Knowledge of international accounting and intercompany finance is a plus! 
• Are an independent worker: you take initiative and manage the bookkeeping A-Z autonomously.
• Are an expert in Microsoft Excel, coupled with a strong understanding of financial software and data analysis tools, showcasing tech-savviness.
• Thrive in a challenging and flexible environment with a variety of tasks on your plate.
• Are a well-organized person with great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
